Connect an AI agent with MCP
Connect Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor or Gemini CLI to your StoreFleet workspace with the MCP server URL and the workspace token.
On this page
StoreFleet runs an MCP server. An AI client that speaks MCP can connect to it and read or change your shops through StoreFleet’s tools, with every call recorded. Its changes follow your shops’ Approval Settings, like a person’s: a change that needs approval waits on the Approvals page and nothing is written until a person approves it. MCP is part of the Pro plan.
Before you start
- You need the Admin role to see the workspace token.
- Open Integrations → MCP. Under Status, MCP server must be On. If it is Off, click Turn on.
Copy the configuration for your client
- On the Overview tab, find Connect a client.
- Choose your Client: Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor or Gemini CLI.
- Click Copy … configuration and add it where the hint says, for example run it in a terminal for Claude Code, or add it to
~/.cursor/mcp.jsonfor Cursor. - In what you pasted, replace
<YOUR_TOKEN>with the workspace token from the next step.
The Server URL is shown on the same card, with Copy server URL.
Copy the workspace token
- Open the Token tab. The Workspace MCP token card holds one token for the whole workspace.
- Click Show to see it, or Copy to copy it.
- Paste it into your client’s configuration.
The token never expires: paste it once and it keeps working. It carries owner-level access, so keep it private.
Rotate the token
If the token leaked or you need to replace it, click Rotate token and confirm. The old token is disconnected immediately: every client using it reports an error until you paste the new one.
Turn MCP off
Click Turn off under Status and confirm Turn off MCP. Every connected client loses access at once, including calls in progress. Tokens are kept and work again when you turn MCP back on.
From Multi-Store Sync (Shopify admin)
StoreFleet: Inventory Sync has an MCP page too: in the app menu, open Integrations → MCP (AI agents). Its Overview tab has the same Connect a client card with the Server URL and the client configurations, so you can copy them there.
The workspace token is not shown in Multi-Store Sync. Get it from the Dashboard as above; the Access tokens tab in Multi-Store Sync links to it with Open the MCP page in the Dashboard. MCP can be turned on or off from Multi-Store Sync only when that store is the only one in the workspace. See MCP in Multi-Store Sync.
