Create a discount

The discount editor is the same in Multi-Store Sync and in the Dashboard. It supports four types:

• Product discounts: Amount off products and Buy X get Y.
• Order discounts: Amount off order and Free shipping.

Start a new discount

In Multi-Store Sync (Shopify admin):

1. Open Discounts and click Create discount.
2. In Select discount type, pick the type.

In the Dashboard:

1. Open Discounts → Discounts and pick the shop in the header.
2. Click Create discount.
3. On Select discount type, pick the type.

Choose the method, code and title

1. In the first card (named after the type), choose the Method: Discount code or Automatic discount.
2. For a code, enter the Discount code. It is written in capital letters.
3. Enter a Title. The title is required for both methods.

Set the value (amount off products, amount off order)

1. In Value, choose Percentage or Fixed amount and enter the Value. For a fixed amount, enter the Currency too.
2. For Amount off products, under Applies to, choose All products, Specific products or Specific collections, then search and add them.
3. For a fixed amount off specific products, you can tick Only apply discount once per order.

Set what the customer buys and gets (buy X get Y)

1. In Customer buys, choose Minimum quantity of items and enter the Quantity, or Minimum purchase amount and enter the Amount.
2. Under Any items from, choose Specific products or Specific collections and add them.
3. In Customer gets, enter the Quantity and choose the items the same way.
4. Under At a discounted value, choose Percentage, Fixed amount or Free, and enter the value if needed.
5. Optionally enter Maximum uses per order (optional).

Set free shipping

1. In Free shipping, optionally enter Maximum shipping price (optional).
2. Leave All countries ticked, or untick it and enter Countries as comma-separated ISO country codes, for example US, CA, GB.
3. Tick Applies to one-time purchases and/or Applies to subscriptions.

Finish and save

1. Set the requirements, eligibility, usage limits, combinations and active dates. See Discount requirements, eligibility and combinations.
2. Check the Summary card on the side.
3. Save:
   • In Multi-Store Sync: click Save on the Shopify save bar. You see Discount created and the new discount opens.
   • In the Dashboard: click Save.

When the discount reaches the shop

In Multi-Store Sync, the discount is created in Shopify at once.

In the Dashboard, a new discount is sent for approval by default. You see Sent for approval. Nothing changed on the shop yet. It is created when an admin or manager approves it. If the shop’s Approval Settings set discount changes to Auto, you see Saved to the shop. instead. See Approval Settings and Approve or reject a change.
