Roles and screen access

What the Admin, Manager and Staff roles can do in StoreFleet, and how to choose which screens and shops a Staff member can open.

Updated

On this page
  1. The three roles
  2. Choose the screens a Staff member can open
  3. Choose the shops a Staff member can see
  4. Roles and Multi-Store Sync

Each member has one role. Open Admin → Users & Roles to see and change them.

The three roles

Role What it can do
Admin Everything a Manager can, plus approving Admin only changes such as refunds, cancellations and payment captures, inviting and managing members, Security, Workspace, the Audit log, unlinking shops and the MCP token.
Manager Sees every screen and every shop. Approves and rolls back changes set to Approval required, and fulfils orders. Cannot approve Admin only changes.
Staff Sees only the screens and shops an admin grants. Cannot approve changes.

Admins and Managers show the All screens badge in the Screens column.

Choose the screens a Staff member can open

  1. On Members, find the Staff member.
  2. Open the menu in their Screens column.
  3. Tick each screen they need, and untick the ones they do not. Each tick is saved as you make it; there is no Save button.

Screens a member cannot open do not appear in their sidebar.

Choose the shops a Staff member can see

Use the Stores column of the same row. Left empty, it means All stores. Pick shops to limit the member to those shops.

Roles and Multi-Store Sync

These roles and screen grants apply in the Dashboard. They do not limit what someone can do in StoreFleet: Inventory Sync, the app inside your Shopify admin; access to the app there is managed in Shopify. One exception: once the workspace has an Admin, Admin only actions taken in Multi-Store Sync, such as a refund, are sent to Approvals in the Dashboard and wait for an Admin. See Approval Settings.
