What AI agents can and cannot do
Which StoreFleet tools an AI agent can call through MCP, which of its changes wait for approval, what you can roll back, and how to see everything it did.
On this page
An AI agent connected through MCP works with the same tools for every shop in your workspace. It does day-to-day work that you can follow call by call. Its changes follow your shop’s Approval Settings, exactly like a person’s.
The tools it can call
Open Integrations → MCP → Tools. Each tool is marked Read or Write, and each write is marked Reversible, Partially reversible or Not reversible. Tools are grouped by area, for example stores, orders, products, inventory, customers, discounts, sales, disputes, analytics and finance.
Which tools the agent may use is also set in your AI client. StoreFleet still applies your Approval Settings to every write, whatever the client allows.
Writes follow your Approval Settings
This applies to any AI tool connected through MCP and to StoreFleet Agent. A write follows the shop’s Approval Settings for that kind of change, the same as a change a person makes:
- Auto: the change is applied and recorded.
- Approval required: the tool gets back awaiting approval, and nothing is written to the shop until an Admin or Manager approves it on the Approvals page.
- Admin only: the tool gets back awaiting approval, and nothing is written until a member with the Admin role approves it.
Refunds, cancellations and payment captures are always Admin only, so when an AI agent asks for one, it waits for an Admin. On the Approvals page, the Submitted by column shows AI agent for changes an agent sent. See Approve or reject a change.
Every write is recorded, and a reversible one can be rolled back by a person in StoreFleet.
Writes are also limited in speed: at most 30 per minute for each token and shop, and 300 per minute for each token.
See what it did
Open the Activity tab. It lists every call, Last 7 days by default, with Time, Agent, Tool, Store, Result and Duration. Filter by token, tool, store or result.
In Multi-Store Sync
In StoreFleet: Inventory Sync, open Integrations → MCP (AI agents) → Activity to see every call that touched the store you have open, whichever token made it. See MCP in Multi-Store Sync.
Undo what it did
Click a call in Activity and click Roll back. The button is there only for changes that can be undone, and only for members with the Admin or Manager role. Changes made by an agent also appear in the ledger as AI. See Undo a change with Roll back.
In Multi-Store Sync, the same Roll back button is on the call’s page under Activity, for calls on that store. You review what will be rolled back before you confirm.
Frequently asked questions
Does an agent’s refund wait for my approval?
Yes. Refunds are Admin only, so a refund an AI agent asks for comes back as awaiting approval, and no money moves until a member with the Admin role approves it on the Approvals page. Once applied, a refund cannot be rolled back, so check it before you approve.
Can I undo what an agent did?
Yes, when the change is reversible. Open Integrations → MCP → Activity, click the call and click Roll back.
Does the workspace token expire?
No. It keeps working until an admin clicks Rotate token, which disconnects the old token immediately.
How do I stop every agent at once?
On the MCP page, click Turn off under Status. Every client loses access immediately.
