Write, schedule and edit blog posts

Blog posts gathers the posts of every blog of one shop into one list, with their Title, Blog, Author, visibility and Published date.

Open Blog posts

• In Multi-Store Sync (Shopify admin): click Content, then the Blog posts tab. If you have linked more than one shop, pick the shop with the store switcher at the top.
• In the Dashboard: open Content → Blog posts and pick the shop in the header.

Write a post

1. Click Create blog post in Multi-Store Sync, or Add blog post in the Dashboard.
2. Enter the Title and write the Content.
   • In Multi-Store Sync you write HTML: use Edit HTML and Preview.
   • In the Dashboard you get a visual editor with a Formatting toolbar (headings, bold, lists, links, images from a link, tables). Click Edit HTML in the toolbar to switch to HTML.
3. Add an Excerpt if you want a short summary in blog listings. Left blank, the theme cuts one from the content.
4. Under Search engine listing, fill in Page title and Meta description.
5. Under Organization, choose the Blog and set the Author, Tags (separate them with a comma) and URL handle. Leave the handle blank to make one from the title. In the Dashboard, also choose the Shop.
6. Add an image: paste the address of an image that is already online (Image URL in Multi-Store Sync, Image address in the Dashboard) and its alt text. Uploading from your computer is not available.
7. Click Save. In Multi-Store Sync, use Save in the save bar at the top of the page.

A post stays in the blog it was created in; you cannot move it to another blog later.

Publish now or on a later date

1. Under Visibility, tick Visible.
2. Leave Publish date blank to publish straight away, or pick a later date.
   • In the Dashboard you can also set a Publish time. A post with a later date shows the Scheduled badge and the line Will become visible on ….
   • In Multi-Store Sync you pick a date only.
3. Click Save.

To keep a post as a draft, leave Visible unticked. It stays off the storefront until it is set to Visible.

Create a blog (Dashboard only)

If the shop has no blog yet, or you need another one:

1. Start a new post in the Dashboard (the button is not shown when editing an existing post).
2. Under Organization, click Create blog.
3. Enter the Title, an optional Handle, and choose Comments: Moderated, Closed or Auto-published.
4. Click Create. The new blog is picked for the post you are writing.

Multi-Store Sync does not create blogs; create one in the Dashboard or in Shopify admin.

Show, hide or delete posts

1. Tick the posts in the list.
2. Click Show or Hide to change their visibility in one go. If some posts fail, a banner lists them.
3. To delete a post, open it and click Delete, then confirm. In the Dashboard you can also tick a single post and click Delete in the list. Deleting cannot be undone.

Find posts

• In Multi-Store Sync, search by title and filter by Blog and Status.
• In the Dashboard, search by title, author or tag, filter by blog, visibility, author or tag, and choose which columns to show with Columns.

When changes reach the shop

Saving writes the post to Shopify straight away, from both Multi-Store Sync and the Dashboard. Blog post changes do not wait on the Approvals page.
