Import tracking numbers from a file
Send a batch of tracking numbers to orders from a spreadsheet or pasted lines in the Dashboard, or fill a bulk fulfil from a CSV in Multi-Store Sync.
On this page
When you have many tracking numbers at once, you can import them instead of typing each one on its order. The Dashboard and StoreFleet: Inventory Sync do this differently, so read which one fits.
- The Dashboard import records the tracking numbers in StoreFleet, so the parcels appear under Shipments and on the buyer tracking page. It does not fulfil the orders in Shopify.
- Multi-Store Sync bulk fulfil fulfils the orders in Shopify, with the tracking numbers you fill in from a CSV.
Import in the Dashboard
- Open Orders & Fulfillment → Orders and click More actions → Import tracking. The New import window opens.
- Choose how to send the lines:
- Spreadsheet: drop the file, or click Choose a file. It accepts .xlsx and .xls. Click Download the template to get the column layout: order number, tracking number, carrier and tracking URL.
- Paste lines: type One line per parcel: order number, tracking number, and the carrier if you know it, separated by commas, tabs or two spaces. For example
1001, 1Z999AA10123456784, ups.
- Under Tracking already on the order, choose Add to the order to keep the numbers an order already has (for one order in several parcels), or Replace what is on the order.
- Leave Email the buyer about this off unless you want every added line to send one email. Those emails cannot be called back.
- Click Start the import.
Lines with no order number or no tracking number are listed before you send, so you can fix them first. One import takes up to 5,000 lines.
Follow the import
After you start it, the import’s page opens. It refreshes every few seconds while it runs and shows every line with its Result:
- Added: the tracking number is now on the order.
- Already there: the number was already recorded against an order, so it was left alone.
- Failed: see What happened. For example, no order in the workspace carries that number, or two shops have an order with the same number.
Click Stop this import to stop it. Lines already sent stay as they are. Click All imports on an import’s page to see past imports, newest first.
Fill a bulk fulfil from a CSV in Multi-Store Sync (Shopify admin)
- Open StoreFleet: Inventory Sync → Orders, tick the orders and click Fulfill selected.
- Under Fill from a CSV, choose a CSV file or paste rows under Or paste rows. Columns: order number, tracking number, carrier, for example
#1001,1Z999AA10123456784,UPS. Rows are matched to the ticked orders by order number. - Click Apply CSV, check the filled tracking numbers, then fulfil.
See Ship an order with tracking for the rest of the bulk fulfil steps.
