Shipping and delivery: zones and rates
Set where a Shopify shop ships and what it charges: pick a shipping profile, create zones, add and edit rates, and create or delete profiles.
On this page
This screen shows a shop’s own Shopify shipping setup: its shipping profiles, the locations each profile ships from, the zones it ships to and the rates charged in each zone. It also lists any carrier-calculated rate services the shop has connected.
Open shipping settings
- In Multi-Store Sync (Shopify admin): click Settings, then Shipping and delivery. If you have linked more than one shop, pick the shop with the store switcher at the top.
- In the Dashboard: open Shop → Shipping & delivery and pick the shop in the header.
If the shop has more than one shipping profile, choose it in the profile picker at the top. In Multi-Store Sync the general profile is marked (general).
Create a zone
- Under the location group you ship from, click Create zone (Multi-Store Sync) or Add zone (Dashboard).
- Enter the Zone name, for example Domestic.
- Enter the Countries as comma-separated ISO country codes, for example
US, CA, GB. Or tick Rest of world to cover every other country. - Set a Starting rate for the zone.
- Save.
Add or edit a rate
- In the zone, click Add rate, or click an existing rate to edit it.
- Enter the rate’s name (Rate name in Multi-Store Sync, Name in the Dashboard) and its price (Price or Amount), and check the Currency.
- Optionally set a Minimum order subtotal. Leave it empty for no minimum.
- Untick Active to keep the rate but stop offering it.
- Save.
Rates show as Free when they cost nothing, and with their order range, such as Orders over …, when they have a minimum.
Create a shipping profile
- Click Create new profile.
- Enter the Profile name. Customers won’t see it.
- In the Dashboard, choose the locations it ships from under Ships from. In Multi-Store Sync, the new profile ships from the same locations as the general profile.
- Click Create new profile.
The new profile starts with no zones; add them after it is created. Moving products into a profile is done in Shopify admin.
Delete a shipping profile
- Choose the profile and click Delete profile.
- Confirm. Its products move back to the general profile. Shopify finishes the delete in the background.
When changes reach the shop
Creating a zone and adding or editing a rate are Admin only in Approval Settings, and this cannot be relaxed.
- In the Dashboard: the change is sent to Approvals. You see Sent for approval — an Admin approves it in Approvals, with View in Approvals. Nothing is written to the shop until a member with the Admin role approves it, even when an Admin made the request.
- In Multi-Store Sync (Shopify admin): when the workspace has at least one Admin, the change is sent to Approvals in the StoreFleet Dashboard, and you see Sent for approval. An Admin approves it in StoreFleet Dashboard → Approvals. If nobody in the workspace has the Admin role yet, for example because no one uses the Dashboard, Multi-Store Sync writes it to Shopify right away as before.
Creating and deleting a shipping profile are written to Shopify straight away. See Approve or reject a change.
