Manage markets and their regions
See where a Shopify shop sells, add a market, rename it or set it to draft, add or remove its countries, view its catalogs and prices, or delete it.
On this page
Markets let a shop sell to other countries with their own currency, language and domain. The Markets list shows each market’s Status, the countries it Includes, its Currency and its Domain. Use Search markets to find one.
Open Markets
- In Multi-Store Sync (Shopify admin): click Settings, then Markets. If you have linked more than one shop, pick the shop with the store switcher at the top.
- In the Dashboard: open Shop → Markets and pick the shop in the header.
Add a market
- Click Add market.
- Enter the Market name.
- Pick a first country or region, or choose to add regions later.
- Click Create market.
Rename a market or change its status
- Click the market in the list.
- Change the Name, or set Status to Active or Draft.
- Click Save. In Multi-Store Sync, use Save in the save bar at the top of the page.
The Handle is shown but cannot be changed here.
Add or remove countries and regions
- Open the market.
- Under Countries and regions, pick one in Add a country or region and click Add.
- To take a country out, click its remove button.
You do not need to click Save for an add or remove; each one goes through approval on its own, as described below.
View currency, domains and prices
The market page also shows:
- Currency: the market’s currency, whether Local currencies are on, and Price rounding.
- Domains and languages: the domains the market uses, or that it uses your primary domain.
- Catalogs: each catalog in the market. Click View prices to see its price list, with any Price adjustment and fixed prices per variant.
Price lists are view only; edit them in Shopify admin.
Delete a market
- Open the market and click Delete market.
- Confirm. Customers in that market will be served by your other markets.
When changes reach the shop
Creating a market, renaming it or changing its status, and adding or removing its countries and regions are Admin only in Approval Settings, and this cannot be relaxed.
- In the Dashboard: the change is sent to Approvals. You see Sent for approval — an Admin approves it in Approvals, with View in Approvals. Nothing is written to the shop until a member with the Admin role approves it, even when an Admin made the request.
- In Multi-Store Sync (Shopify admin): when the workspace has at least one Admin, the change is sent to Approvals in the StoreFleet Dashboard, and you see Sent for approval. An Admin approves it in StoreFleet Dashboard → Approvals. If nobody in the workspace has the Admin role yet, for example because no one uses the Dashboard, Multi-Store Sync writes it to Shopify right away as before.
Deleting a market is written to Shopify straight away. See Approve or reject a change.
